Who We Are

Len Laurito - Project Manager

hometown: Philadelphia

why I do what I do: Dumb luck? I stumbled into the exhibit world after having been trained as a teacher, spending years in construction, and sucking up tiny bits of trivia. Exhibits are the place where my training, interests and experience converge. I can’t imagine leaving.

last book read: An old favorite. I actually just read it to my 3-year-old last night. You might know it, "One Fish, Two Fish"

hobbies: woodworking, following baseball, singing

quote: “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars” and "To whom much is given, much is expected"

profile: Left teaching when offered a job in residential construction; left residential construction when offered a job in an exhibit house 20 years ago; exhibits is where I plan to stay. I’ve been fortunate enough to have learned this business from the shop floor on up. I’ve found that with every project, there’s a great band of talented people. I like being able to say, “I’m with the band.”

favorite time on the job: That “Eureka” moment when the fog clears and you think you’ve solved a problem.

latest accomplishment: Got a little more plumbing operational in the ancient, dilapidated house my wife and I bought in 2007.
