Our Work
Located in CHF’s Philadelphia Headquarters, “Making Modernity” is housed in a former bank building. The renovated facility; which is also a conference center, houses a collection which includes scientific instruments and apparatus, fine art and the personal papers of prominent scientists. The two story exhibit space incorporates a sophisticated artifact mounting system which allows the museum staff to rotate exhibits and change graphics as required. Maltbie was initially hired in a pre-construction capacity to assist with case prototyping and engineering. “Making Modernity” debuted in the fall of 2008.
