Our Work
In HealthQuest, visitors are taken on an interactive odyssey through five major systems of the human body and learn how “choices” affect their health. The overall exhibition design brings together the entire human life cycle and body systems. The content ranges from the quirky and gross to the quiet and reflective.
Designed by Quatrefoil Associates with 4th and 5th grade school groups in mind, the exhibits convey complex scientific information into an understandable form that engages visitors. To accomplish Maltbie collaborated with Quatrefoil’s design team to develop a variety of multimedia, audio/visual, electro-mechanical, and simple hands-on activities and included plastinated human specimens. Many of the interactives were created for multiple users to encourage family interaction and teamwork. Maltbie’s scope included engineering and production of all interactive exhibits, production of all graphics materials, and installation.
