Our Work
The “Experience Music” project is dedicated to celebrating creativity and innovation as expressed through American popular music, A key exhibit is “Crossroads”, which explores the driving forces of music, from Jazz, R & B and Bluegrass to Garage Bands, Hip Hop and Punk. Another is “Sound Lab,” where visitors gain a hands-on understanding of the newest music technology, while the “Artist’s Journey” provides a step-by-step trip through the lives and times of America’s most innovative creators. The project incorporates traditional and interactive exhibition spaces, and EMP’s substantial collection of music memorabilia and artifacts required specialized handling and mounting for display.
